WELCOME!
Please join us at Queenston Heights Park for registration from 9:00 am - 9:30 am. At registration you will receive a t-shirt, a free parking pass, and we ask for any donations not given online (you may need to fill out a form that we will provide). Registration tents will be up beside the parking lot by the pavilions.
Riding with Janine Ebeling
This year, we bike for the Nakakela Clinic and MCA School in South Africa, but we also want to bike for someone special - Janine Ebeling. Janine, Chad, and their family have biked with us for many years and are strong supporters of the bikeathon. Recently, she was diagnosed with leukemia and will be undergoing cancer treatments during the time of the bikeathon. We bike with her and the family in mind and meditate on Isaiah 41:10 reminding us, “Fear not, for I am with you … I will strengthen you and help you.” Stickers will be handed out at registration as well.
The Route
We will open with devotions and bike from around 9:30AM-12:00PM, enjoying either a shorter 22km or a longer 36km route. Both routes will start at Queenston Heights Park and will head North to Niagara on the Lake for about 11km before heading back to Queenston Heights Park. Participants who wish to take advantage of the longer route will continue south to the Whirlpool Aero Car parking lot and then back to the park again. We will have break stops at the halfway point, support/ repair vehicles, and a delicious BBQ when we return to Queenston Heights.
Note: Due to construction near the Falls this year the route will be restricted so we have adjusted the route to bike north instead of south. There is a large hill that we will take extra precautions on to avoid injury at the very beginning of the route.
We are Pavilion #1 located closest to the playground and it can be seen from the parking lots for the BBQ.
Registration for Donations and Food
Please add yourself and everyone in your family/group to this team when registering. This will allow for all donations to be atributed to your name and will be added to the Niagara Parkway team donation total and we will also know how many people to plan for food.
